Former Indian National Congress MP Mewaram Jain from Barmer, accused of raping women and a minor, appeared in two obscene videos that went viral on social media on Saturday, January 6. The three-time MP, who lost to a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in the recent Rajasthan assembly elections, was caught off guard by social media users, who questioned the authenticity of the videos.
One of the videos is 33 minutes long, the other 53 seconds long. In the police report, the victim stated that the former MP also recorded a video of her being raped. The woman alleged, “When Mewaram Jain and Ram Swaroop raped me repeatedly, they asked me to bring other girls aged 15 and 16.”
