A Tasmanian woman at the center of a shocking viral scandal involving a live brown trout has made her first court appearance.
Catherine June Lee, 58, from southern Tasmania, faced Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday, charged under the Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Enforcement Act.
Lee is accused of possessing a bestiality product between February 2022 and January 2023, along with two charges of making or reproducing such material during the same period.
Magistrate Marica Duvnjak granted her an adjournment, pushing the case back to October, according to The Mercury.
Her alleged accomplice, Ashley David Hallam, 55, appeared in court back in May but has yet to enter a plea. He faces two charges of creating bestiality material and three charges of possessing it.
The case exploded across social media after footage surfaced showing a woman on a boat while a man allegedly used a live trout in a disturbing sexual act — a video that has since drawn worldwide outrage.
